In which John Green kicks off the Crash Course Literature mini series with a reasonable set of questions. Why do we read? What's the point of reading critica...
While i think that we should read for enjoyment, I also definitely agree with John Green when he talks about how reading can actually help you directly in your own life. A story can help you with your own understanding of others and even yourself because while those characters are sometimes made up people, they were created by real people who have and express real feelings in the book.
This was a great video. I agree with John Green when he says that literature can help us relate to people who lived in the past and it helps us communicate with people who live in different parts of the world. I think we read because we want to imagine what it's like to be someone else for a change. Great video!
Great video, John Green and his brother's videos on youtube are always entertaining and informative.
I love how John Green, an amazing author, points out that what truly matters is what we take away from a book and we can relate this to our lives and most importantly other people's lives. It's also amazing how many dead authors managed to capture ideas that people today still relate to. Awesome video!
It always amazes me how awesome John Green is. He teaches us important lessons and facts in a humorous and conversational way, making us feel that we aren't even learning. I completely agree with him that to communicate with emotional words is a great way to get the message across.
I love these videos because they are really short and they teach us lessons that most teachers would waste an entire week on. And I always find them very amusing.
