A Walk to Remember By: Nicholas Sparks

A Walk to Remember By: Nicholas Sparks

I absolutely love Nicholas Sparks’ books and movies. And I have heard that A Walk to Remember is a really good movie. Although I have never seen the movie, I thought that I would give the book a try. And it turns out that I loved this book too.

A Walk to Remember is about Landon Carter, this book is told in a way of him looking back on his life. So Landon Carter as an old man is telling the story of his senior year in high school. He was a pretty popular guy in high school and he made fun of people with his best friend, Eric, all the time. The town that he lived in was a small little town in North Carolina and everyone knows everyone else. And he tells the story of when he met Jamie Sullivan, the Priest’s daughter and she was the nicest most caring person that Landon had ever met. And he needed a date to homecoming so he asked her and then after that he thought that they wouldn’t talk again but she needed someone to be in a play that they performed in, so she asked him. And then after they play, they started to like each other. But after that, I can’t tell you what happens and you will just have to read it yourself. But I will tell you that there are many shockers that happen during it.

I loved this book so much. It was so cute and such a good book. Nicholas Sparks really does know how to write a love story. This one was a little different than his other books though. He usually has a love story be over the summer and have them have to leave each other but this one was a little different in that they didn’t really have to leave each other. I will say that Nicholas Sparks did put in his signature that someone does die in the end, which was a tear jerker. I will say that I was sad at the end. But overall, it was such a good book and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good book to read.

Did anyone else read this book or see the movie and be as sad as I was?

I feel kind of ashamed to say that I have never read a Nicholas Sparks' book. This one sounds really cute though. I'm such a sucker for a good romantic novel, and this one sounds like a really good one. It will defintiely be on my list of summer reads.

I absolutely love the movie. In previous experience, I have noticed that I always like the book more than a movie, so I can only imagine what kind of book it proves itself to be. Thanks for the post, Allison! I want to pick this book up now and give it a try!

I saw the movie first and then decided to read the book. The story did make me sad, but I enjoyed it. I'm starting to become a fan of Nicholas Sparks' books because they are always a fun read. The book shows that there is almost never a "happily ever after ending." Another book I would recommend reading is Dear John!

I have never heard of Nicholas Sparks, so now I am curious to what his stories are like! This book sounds like it would be a very emotional, but engaging book. I like how you didn't give away the ending to the story in your review of it also!
