"The Brave New World sounds kinda sweet. I would need to see it for myself, but I would probably pick that one. Maybe just for a week vacation."

"I would choose Brave New World. Even though you loose your free will you never knew what it was or what you were missing out on. It would definitely be the easiest choice."

Which dystopian world do you belong in?

If there's anything literature has taught us, it's that anything is possible. Given the fact that many new pieces of literature have recently come out in a dystopian setting, what better way to introduce the possibilities than asking what dystopian society would you live in, if given the choice? Although there isn’t really any good sort of dystopian society, recent literature…See More

Greetings fellow homo sapiens friends!

It is good to see all you fleshy beings alive and well. It is just as well, as we shall be meeting again in that giant prison made of brick and cement school. For those of you who do not know me, perhaps a short introduction is in need.

I am currently in Miss Berdick's 1st hour English class. And that is all that is necessary for one to know.

I am hopeful to see all of you cheerful alien faces once again in class or school, one time or another.

Until then,

SLevey

P.S. If you are wondering about the picture, perhaps you should visit google and find out yourself...

On the Jellicoe Road

I've read so many books this semester it’s patently absurd. However, the title of one of the most mind-blowing books by far this year, winning the This-Book-Is-Guaranteed-To-Make-You-Emotional Award, goes to the classy novel entitled On the Jellicoe Road.

For those out there who have not read this fabulous little piece of literature paradise yet (seriously, get on it),…

Flat-Out Love

Coming to the mid-end of senior year, I thought it was appropriate to try something never tried before without falling to the floor in overly-dramatic muscle spasms: reading a romance novel. I have to admit that I was more than a little surprised that out of all the books residing on the independent reading shelf I chose Flat-Out Love by Jessica Park. When I entered…

Ashes to Ashes

This quarter, my book was supposed to be The Day of St Anthony’s Fire by John Grant Fuller. However, recently, I came across a fabulous little find recently that completely captured my attention. Ashes by Ilsa J. Bick is one of the most compelling stories I’ve read in a long time, even overriding horrifyingly fascinating accounts of ergot.…
