"I totally agree with you! I feel that during the two week break I forget a lot of the information I just learned. I probably should be getting ready for finals during those two weeks, but let’s face it, that has yet to happen. If we were able…"

Ender's Shadow: Told from the Point of View of Bean

Ender's Shadow is the book I decided to end the year on. I decided to do a full circle by reading a blogging about Ender's Game for my first post, and finishing with the same story line, except from a different point of view. Ender's Shadow is about a different prodigy from battle school that Ender meets; Bean. Bean is compared to Ender in everything he does. Bean is unusual in the fact that he is the youngest child to ever get sent up to battle school; he gets sent up when he is four. Bean…See More

"I agree also.  Being a senior and looking back it is amazing to see all the things that have been accomplished in four short years.  I also remember being that lost freshman that couldn't find their way."

"As a senior, I can safely say that it doesn't slow down. I can still remember so much from freshman year. My advice is to enjoy it, high school is such a cool part of life, and once you graduate, you'll never really have the same type of…"

High School Is Flying By!

Posted on May 8, 2013 at 5:30pm 19 Comments

During my freshman orientation, I remember getting incredibly lost while trying to find my classes on the second level. I would turn down one hallway, find my classroom, turn around, and by that time, have lost the classroom I just found. I would then blindly walk around until I stumbled across one of my other classes. Repeat for approximately an hour and a half. I look back on that experience and wonder, how was I so lost? I can walk my schedule blindfolded, I can navigate this school like…

Mockingbirds

Posted on April 22, 2013 at 5:31pm 4 Comments

For the month of April, I read an interesting book from the book box called Mockingbirds by Daisy Whitney. This book was very good in the sense that it dealt with an elite boarding school, and provided insight into that situation. I always thought Fremd, and heard from some of my other school friends, was a preppy school. But after reading this book, I realized how much more preppy and competitive boarding schools are. The whole focus of this book is an underground student justice…

What would you do for Money?

In the month of March, I finished a book called Nerve by Taylor Clark. It is a very thought-provoking book. It is focused on a girl who signs up for a game show called Nerve. The game show is about getting challenges and having to complete them to earn money. They push the contestants to their limits, making challenges that will hurt them emotionally. One of the challenges she had to do was confront a friend about something that had happened several years before. To make this show…
