Day by Day Armageddon: Shattered Hourglass (3rd Book SPOILERS)

This is the third book in J.L. Bourne's Day by Day Armageddon series so if you haven't read the first two books I would go read those first so nothing is spoiled to you.  Butif you want to start here Bourne puts a short plot summary of the first two books to get you up to speed.  Shattered Hourglass follows a couple of characters with the main character being a naval officer, a.k.a. Kil, who finds himself as one of the highest…See More

"I've read all of the trilogy twice, plus The Hobbit, and watched all the movies.  I love the world Tolkien has created and the books never have a slow pace for too long, it keeps you reading all the way through. "

Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter

Most of you have probably seen the trailers for the movie Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter, if you have seen that movie like I did, i'm sorry for what you had to sit through.  This is about the book which I can tell you is completely different from the movie.  It's 100 times better than the movie and the plot is completely different, the only similarity between the book and the movie is the fact that both have Abraham Lincoln in it but other than that every scene in the movie was not in the book.…See More

The Warded Man

People have always had a fear of the night it hides danger right in front of us.  In Peter V. Brett's The Warded Man humans live in fear of night because sun sets demons rise up from the ground, hunting for human prey.  Humanity's survival is guarded by wards, magic symbols, that create an invisible force field if put in a correct pattern.  This is a novel with very good story to tell and great pacing between action scenes and calm scenes.                                              Right from…See More
