Feels Like Home

Feels Like Home is the story of Mickey, a 16 year old girl living in a small Texas town. Her dad has just died in a car accident and her brother Danny, who has been missing since a mysterious accident several years ago, has suddenly reappeared. Mickey, grieving because of her fathers death and feeling abandoned by her brother is just counting down the days until summer and the chance to leave her suffocating town.       Mickey didn't always resent her older brother Danny, before the…See More

Society matched them, but love set them free.

Instead of reading a book together as a class, this month we go to choose our own book to read. While at the book store, my eyes fell upon a book called Matched by Ally Condle. I had recently heard all about this book and it's similarities to the Hunger Game's series so I chose to read it. After the first ten…See More

My awesome summer reading blog!

This year's summer reading was very differen't from previous years. This year we got to choose any kind of book we wanted to read. When I heard about this, it boosted my spirits. I hate it when you're forced to choose from a list of books and while reading you're merely skimming through trying to rush to the final page and check "summer reading" off your list. This summer I dug through my countless collections of books, hoping to find the perfect three that would enlighten me for the…See More

This Lullaby

As a free reading book choice, I looked to my favorite author for a great read over spring break. I chose to read This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen. I was expecting a happy and relaxing read just like her previous books that I have read but I found something different in this book. In each of Sarah's books, the main character usually has a conflict but inside are loving, caring and genuinely sweet. The main character in This Lullaby was the complete opposite. Remy is bitter and has an over…
