Eshwar Kishore commented on Alec Stadler's blog post Procrastinate? Me? Never...
"Procrastination seems, to me, to be a thing that we (students) turn on and off whenever it suits us. Although I can't say that I am 100% productive 100% of the time! I wouldn't go as far as saying that I procrastinate on everything I do.…"

"Alec, I can't help but wonder about the quality of student blogs when they procrastinate. Do you find that you do lesser or better work when you wait until the last minute? I tend to think that students do better with more time to think and…"

Alec Stadler replied to Briana Michaels's discussion Controversial Topics

Procrastinate? Me? Never...

Posted on May 31, 2012 at 11:00pm 3 Comments

Well, it's that time of the quarter again... and by that I mean the night before our ning logs are due. So as I sit here at 11 PM on Thursday night frantically trying to reach my requirement, I can't help but think that it might have been a good idea to have started this earlier. I'm a procrastinator (just kidding possible colleges and job recruiters who might be looking at this right now).  But really though, wouldn't it have been much easier to have written a blog post a week ago instead…

This is a Blog Post

For my quarterly IR blog post, I had the pleasure of reading Demitri Martin's book, This is a Book. If you are familiar with Martin's stand-up act or his TV show "Important Things," the title of this book should come to no surprise to you. For those of you who haven't been exposed to Demitri Martin, you should know that he takes a very different approach to comedy and writing. Martin manages to find humor in…

Do We Really Know Everything?

The scene is a common one, two people arguing. It could be about anything, religion, politics, or even who won the World Series in 1985. Both people are so incredibly certain that their opinion or memory is the right one, that they are not even willing to think that it's possible that they are wrong. In my opinion, this sort of behavior is a basic flaw in humanity. We constantly try to advance our own thoughts that we forget that others also have equally important and relevant…

The Perfect Storm: Conflicting Thoughts

Posted on March 21, 2012 at 10:30pm 0 Comments

For my independent reading book in third quarter, I decided to read The Perfect Storm by Sebastian Junger. The Perfect Storm is about a swordfishing boat named The Andrea Gail, which goes down with its crew off the coast of New England in 1991 during one of the biggest storms on record. The book explains, in extreme detail, the lives of the fishermen and the events…
